How photographs are handled in the Roomly private preview.
Your room photos
Your selected photo is resized in your browser and kept in tab session storage. When you choose Generate, Roomly sends that photo and your room/style choices through its server to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio in Singapore for room recognition and image editing. A visual model checks the room and visible features before the editing model runs; if recognition is uncertain or the selected room is absent, editing stops. Recognition can be wrong. Photo processing is subject to the provider’s terms and privacy policy. Close the tab or clear site data to remove your browser copy.
Images and hosting
Sample photos load from Unsplash, whose servers receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address. The hosting service also processes connection information needed to serve the website and, for this private preview, control access.
Results and retention
Roomly keeps a temporary provider image link for up to 23 hours of access, plus request metadata used for access control and usage limits. Expired links are cleared and metadata older than 30 days is removed when a new generation request triggers cleanup. Discarding a result removes its Roomly link immediately, but does not delete copies retained by Alibaba Cloud under its policies. Download results you wish to keep. A separate record of your user ID and successful free-image claim is retained while the service operates to prevent repeated free claims; deleting history does not reset it.
Accounts and payments
Roomly uses Google sign-in through Supabase Auth. Google and Supabase process the identity information needed to sign you in, including your email and account identifier. Roomly stores an encrypted server-side login session for up to 30 days and a secure browser cookie. Original accounts can still sign in through ChatGPT to explicitly link Google and retain their existing records. Your stable user ID links your room history, free trial, orders and credit usage. Purchase and credit records are separate from the 30-day image history and retained while the service operates. New checkout uses Waffo when configured. Roomly sends an order reference, product choice and account identifier to Waffo, and may prefill your sign-in email. Payment details are entered with the payment provider and are not stored by Roomly. Earlier Paddle orders and their credit records are retained to handle payment adjustments. Test mode does not charge real money.
